Himalayan Salt & Halotherapy
Himalayan Pink Salt is an all-natural, mineral-rich salt that is harvested from ancient sea salt deposits located deep in the Himalayas. Once a prehistoric ocean, the water evaporated and left behind pure, crystallized salt that is under the Himalayan Mountain Chain. People have known of its benefits for thousands of years.
Protected through the ages beneath the monolithic mountain range, Himalayan Pink Salt has become one of the most popular salts on the market for its clean-tasting salt flavor and its beautiful color. The variable shades of soft, pale pink to deep, robust rose are the result of 84 trace minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron.

Salt therapy, known as Halotherapy, is a holistic method that reproduces the natural micro climate of a salt cave by dispersing dry salt in a room whose surfaces are covered with layers of salt. The dry salt in the room may provide relief for sleep problems, allergies, COPD, and some skin ailments.
Our salt room allows for dry salt therapy to be experienced in a small group setting. The small room simulates the environment of a therapeutic salt cave, with Himalayan salt covering the walls and floor to calm the mind and body.
Neutralizing the atmosphere in this way stabilizes mood, decreases stress, and assists the body in healing.
A salt room session lasts 40 minutes and requires no more than lying back and breathing. Micro particles of aerosol salt are dispersed into the room by the Halogenerator while you relax, listen to music, sleep, or meditate.
Halotherapy is safe for most people. Eating or ingesting too much salt can be bad for your body, breathing it in does not affect your heart, stomach or kidneys, as exposure during salt therapy is limited to your respiratory system. Even then, the concentration of pharmaceutical grade salt that you breathe in during salt therapy is very low (between .5 and 10 milligrams per cubic meter — less than a teaspoon). Because of salt’s natural anti bacterial, anti-inflammatory properties, and its ability to clear passageways and break down mucous, it has only healing affects when taken into the body this way.
Those who should not use Halotherapy:
- Hyperthyroidism
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Tuberculosis
- Heart problems
- Respiratory failure
- Blood disorders like anemia, hemophilia, or clotting
- Infectious diseases
- Fever
- Open wounds
- Malignant diseases such as cancer
- Claustrophobia
Talk to your doctor before trying Halotherapy. They can help you decide if it’s a good option for you based on your medical history and condition.
People who suffer from type IIB hypertension. Halotherapy is not recommended for those with this condition.
Kidney Disease – Since one’s kidneys may already be in a compromised state it is advisable to consult with a physician prior to scheduling an appointment. During your 40-minute session water is pulled from your system. It is recommended that one use the restroom prior to beginning their session and immediately following it. We also recommend increasing your water intake throughout the day.
Chemotherapy- If someone is undergoing chemotherapy, salt treatment is not recommended. Chemotherapy treatments lower immunity to aid in the destruction of cancer cells, therefore it would be counter productive to this treatment to visit a salt room.
Hypothyroidism – the body generates less iodine than required. From our experience: it is recommended to use the salt therapy under a doctors care during which time they can monitor and reduce the amount of hormone they are prescribing for their patients.
Always consult your doctor if you have any questions concerning the safety of Halotherapy.
Halotherapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The Food and Drug Administration have not evaluated this product. As in all health situations, qualified professionals should be consulted.
Please note: The video below is not our salt room, but our salt room is designed for relaxing, calmness, and Halotherapy.
Infrared Sauna
An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to create heat. This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna — “far” describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you.
An infrared sauna produces these results at lower temperatures than does a regular sauna, which makes it accessible to people who can’t tolerate the heat of a conventional sauna.
Better sleep.
Relaxation
Chromotherapy
Relief from joint pain such as arthritis.
Relief from sore muscles
Improved circulation.
Zero EMF
Our state-of-the-art infrared sauna was purchased to accommodate 3 people, but we only reserve it for 2 people at a time (couples, friends, family members, etc.). You will have 30 minutes during each session in the sauna. You may bring your phone or mp3 players to listen to the music of your choice. You may bring your own towels or we have them available, if needed. You can choose at the time of your appointment if you wish to have a certain color or chromotherapy, varied colors, or no colors at all during your 30 minute sauna session. Relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy!
How to Get the Most from Your Sauna Session
-
Start clean.
Before you step inside your sauna, take a quick shower to remove any product from your skin such as moisturizers, lotions or perfumes. These will simply drip off or melt inside the unit.
In addition, they can interfere with the detoxification process that happens inside the sauna. As your core temperature heats up, the skin begins to flush out toxins, impurities, and dirt through your sweat. Let it run its course to maximize the natural purification.
-
Wear something comfortable.
Underclothes, bathing suit, or shorts must be worn at all times in our sauna. However, shorts and a tank top is a great choice. We provide footies for your feet that also must be worn at all times.
Refrain from wearing any jewelry, as well.
-
Stay hydrated.
Infrared heat triggers an intense sweat, so you need to replenish these lost fluids often. Drink plenty of water before and after your sauna session.
If you plan on staying inside the sauna for more than 20 minutes, break it down into two parts. Giving yourself 5 minutes to cool down in-between.
-
Cool down after the session.
After leaving the sauna, allow yourself to cool down and, again, drink plenty of water while you are driving home. We provide a free cold bottle of water when you leave.
-
Consider Chromotherapy during your session.
For instance, try out our color therapy by choosing a color or letting it cycle thru them all. This can add some much needed relaxation during your visit. On that note, our sauna unit allows you to play music, as well, so create the perfect ambiance by playing some songs you love. You may bring a cell phone or mp3 player with your own music on it. The sauna uses a headphone jack to hook to our sauna speakers.
- Sit back and relax!
While you’re inside your sauna, feel free to forget about the world for a while. This is your time to find your center and reconnect to your body and mind. The purpose of a sauna is to give you a tranquil, serene place to let the stress melt away and revitalize your whole being.
